André Bissonnette is based in Seattle Washington, living with himself and all his books, media, video games, and music, but not too far from family and friends, of course. He is currently an audio director for a game company and a music editor for a music education tech company, but he’ll always make time to compose music and edit out the “um’s” and “uh’s” and “let me read that again” for Another Dimension magazine.
Music has been an essential part of his life. He started learning piano when he was 6, violin at 10, and upright bass at 15, and has been composing music all along the way. He wrote his first symphony when he was 14. At 16, he had his first performance by members of the Seattle Symphony (under the David Diamond Young Composers program under the tutelage by Sam Jones, who at that time, was the Resident Composer for the Seattle Symphony Orchestra).
André’s an energetic nerd who takes on more projects than he should, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
